Mustard Seed
The parable of the mustard seed tells how a tiny seed can grow into a large and nourishing plant:
"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."
Luke 13:18-19
In the same way, a small donation to LCMI’s Mustard Seed program can help a child grow into a strong and healthy member of God’s family. Mustard Seed supports children who are in desperate financial need and provides them with the basic essentials that every child should have, including 3 meals a day and an opportunity to attend school.
The Mustard Seed program will then send out its branches as the children who benefit from it are able to improve their own lives and to support others.
For just $30 a month, you can act as a planter of mustard seeds that will grow into healthy and enthusiastic adult members of God’s family who will devote their lives to bringing the Gospel to others and to helping young people and their families enjoy better lives.

A person considering sponsoring a Mustard Seed child contacts LCMI’s Mustard Seed Coordinator, with the desire to sponsor a child. The prospective donor then receives information along with a profile of a child to support. (All children have to have been LCMI campers at least once to be eligible for Mustard Seed sponsorship).
Next, the donor sets up his or her preferred payment method among the various available options (instructions below).
The supported child is visited by the LCMI Mustard Seed staff in India three times a year to hand deliver the donor’s support and other staples, and to have a time of prayer, devotion, and encouragement with the family.
After each visit the donor receives a letter from the sponsored child, photos from the visit, and a report from the LCMI Mustard Seed staff in India including an update on the child, his or her family, and prayer requests.
Mustard Seed support is given to a child until he or she turns 18 years of age, and is able to seek employment. This is done so that other children in need on the waiting list may receive support for basic education and nourishment. When a sponsored child turns 18, the child’s donor is given the option to continue supporting another Mustard Seed child. Note: For special needs children, this policy is assessed on a case-by-case basis, since they may or may not be able to make a living.

On receipt of your email, we will get in touch with you and give you more information. We will process your desire to bless a child accordingly, and a profile of a child will be sent to you.

Electronic Funds transfer (EFT):
EFT is an electronic funds transfer feature that has an easy one-step set up. LCMI will provide you with the necessary EFT form, and then you specify your information and desired ongoing donation amount. Once we receive the form from you, we will initiate this feature for you, working directly with your bank.
